102 Minutes

19 years ago today, we all started our day like any other day – having breakfast with our families, making our way to work or school, enjoying time with family, friends and colleagues.

Then those fateful 102 minutes.  Everyone’s life changed instantly. Those who were immediately and directly impacted, those who heroically sacrificed everything to save others, those at home or work watching in terror as those fateful events unfolded. On that day, at that moment, while we all watched we all were one.

It may take us 102 minutes to commute to and from work, grocery shop, or finish household chores.  It may take 102 minutes to watch a movie, have a meal or play a game.  As we do these things today please take time to remember the 2977 people who perished on 9/11 and all those who have suffered as a direct result since then.  Remember how they spent their last 102 minutes on that day and sadly never made it home.

On September 11, 2001; America and the lives of tens of thousands of people had been changed forever. A tragedy none of us will ever forget.  Nothing can ever fill the forever voids left in those family’s lives, but on this day and in each passing year to come, may we all devote some moments of silence in our day to honor and remember all the people who lost their lives that day.

Please Stay Safe & Be Healthy!
